Looks Versus Brains

Each one of us has his own style and look that others know us according to this look or personal style, and that we express aspects of ourselves through our choice of clothes , hair and way of life.

looks are of a great importance in society, and it is okey to adopt a certain style that we make our own, that is all fine; the problem starts when people judge each other based on our looks! and who said that we should match our look to present a direct , easy and plain version of who we are on the inside , or to promote our brain capacity or the lack of it.

youAreNotWhatYouWear

we should never reduce a person to what he wears, or his hairdo, his look is not him. it is only how he expresses himself .. a funky style does not promote a shallow person, in the same way as a classical style does not promote a High IQ level. fashion is what adorns our daily life, its the right to variety and the freedom of choice.

are we our shirts? are we our haircuts?

Hell no we are not, these are only images of our own personal space, why should we change what we like according to the society we live in? wouldn´t be better if we are genuine versions of our likes and dislikes than to be the ” right” version of a person that we are not? and for what? to get the other’s consentment and good judgement?

let me tell you what i think, whoever thinks he knows me from the way i dress, or the color of my clothing or my make up, is not worthy nor eligible to be a part of my life, or to know me, he will be short sighted, shallow and one track minded? why would i want to know a person who thinks that my brains are not functioning if i wear a specific kind of fashion? or judge my intellect by the lenghth of my skirt?

why can’t i wear edgy clothing and have a very smart brain?

would my skirt or dress add or take away from who i am? i think we all answer No to this question and if we answered yes then we are doomed to never see through each other or beyond the realms of the seen the physical image we see ine each other.

Look for what your eyes can not see, look beyond your sight, seek the person , not the image of that person, seek the being. not the how this being appears to be.
